Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa (/ˈkiːnwɑː/ or /kɪˈnoʊ.ə/, from Quechua kinwa or kinuwa) is a flowering plant in the amaranth family. It is not native to India, and has no Tamil name. Quinoa is a grain that has only appearance similar to the millets, but has completely different characteristics and profile. Naval palam or Nagapalam in english we called it Jamun fruit or Java plum and in malay we called it ‘Buah Kerian’ is Indian blackberry which rich in iron, minerals, vitamin A and vitamin C.
